ILLUSTRATED CURIOSITIES

A curiosity or curio is a rare, unusual, or intriguing object, a trinket or even a knick-knack. These are pieces that have resonated with me; a mixture of the antique and vintage, or simply objects that caught my eye.

It’s not necessarily the provenance of the piece that creates the magic, but the transformation and execution of the idea in to a three-dimensional character. Freehand illustration is directly applied to the surface, using whatever the chosen base as my ‘piece of paper’ - the value being in the skill and idea taking precedence over the value of the curio.
