Bee in the City is one of the most spectacular, ambitous and popular public art events Manchester has ever seen. A collection of giant worker bees that will be buzzing around the city over the summer that have been decorated by a hand plucked selection of artists.
This framed print is a photograph of the original artwork, a 3ft tall freehand illustrated fiberglass worker bee which took weeks to adorn. The original sculpture will be housed in the Whitworth art gallery, one of the most remarkable galleries in the north for the duration of this showcase until it is sold for charity in the autumn.
This beautiful print is an opportunity to own a piece of local art history.
