London Fashion Week LFW SS14
So myself and A-list fashion designer Bunmi Olaye formerly of Bunmi KoKo jumped on the band wagon heading to one of the first shows of fashion week. A vile day outside however bold colours of the spring summer showcasing inside the stunning Freemason hall in Covent garden.
House of evolution sponsored by private members club of the year Home house were presenting collections from Josh & Nicol and Hema Kaul. Mini bottles of fizz and Snog frozen yoghurts were flowing alongside the pre show excitement in the the reception hall. It was fantastic to see how much of a following my long time friend Bunmi has, after herself showing at LFW on more than one occasion she received a lot of attention.
We were shown to the front row for a great view of the show, the lights went down and Boom!
Some beautiful pieces and ideas being executed on the catwalk, floating and stomping down the central aisle were both fierce attitude and graceful glamour. I could see the fire burning in Bunmi’s eyes whilst watching the show, I did not say a word but she will be returning to the fashion world with a bang! ….Lips sealed!
As always it was short and sweet, we saw some lovely pieces and some interesting looking people in the audience. Sometimes its hard to decide whether or not watch the models or the crowd. We met the designers after the show and Bunmi was mobbed again, snap, snap, snap, and we were out. We took the time to have a look upstairs at the exhibition of University work which was to a ridiculously high standard, beautiful creations fir for any Gaga music video or Sci fi flick.
A wonderful place to go and if the opportunity to go to a show comes up then get in there, lucky for me it is 2 minutes from my doorstep. It’s an awesome way to get a real feel for what people do and gives me a true affinity with London. Love iiiiiiiit!
