Thomas Wolski, Harvey Nichols and wild in art window collaboration
Harvey Nichols is proud to support Manchester’s exciting new art trail
This autumn, Manchester will host 50 Windows of Creativity, an exciting showcase of the work of artists and makers displayed in a series of windows, venues, businesses and spaces across the city from 26th October – 5th December.
Created by international public art producers Wild in Art, in partnership with Manchester City Council, the app-activated trail will guide visitors around the city to learn about each artist and installation whilst ‘unlocking’ each display to redeem special rewards.
Supporting the trail, Harvey Nichols Manchester will play host to a magical sculptural installation by contemporary British artist Thomas Wolski.
Comprising an original antique wooden galloper (and its mini counterpart!), an epic jigsaw of distraction and magic, plus a beautiful play on the classic ‘poison apple’, the carefully curated installation will showcase Wolski’s intricate freehand illustration of sculptures, drawings and curio at its very best. His unique, signature style comprises images within images, utilising iconic bold silhouettes to incite curiosity, and teasing the eye to become aware of the magical worlds and hidden treasures that inhabit his works.
Trail-seekers unlocking the Harvey Nichols x Thomas Wolski installation with the app will also be treated to an exclusive 10% off* Fashion, Accessories, Beauty, Food and Wine in-store. Sounds like the perfect way to enjoy a socially-distanced cultural stroll around the city and a spot of retail therapy.
