The 'Midas Touch'

This sample has been created for www.dkt.co.uk a world famous home who specialise in creating and installing interior art such as sculpture, carving, restoration, gilding, textiles and specialist decoration.

I was contacted by them to collaborate in creating a bespoke piece of furniture, something truly unique, timeless and in essence something representative of the current and Golden age.

Currently top secret in design I wanted to showcase a snapshot of the potential finish.

My job is to transform the black lacquer and 24ct Gold gilded panels of the piece in to art. The prototype features key elements of my illustrative work immortalised in ink and will be treated and finished in a way that exudes wealth, style and art whilst still being functional.
